What you need to get started?

All you need to become a digital nomad is a passion for traveling, a laptop and skills to work online. There are many websites with courses designed to help you improve your skills. One of them is Udemy, an online learning and teaching marketplace with over  45000 courses that will ease your way into the nomadic lifestyle. All you have to do is choose a course and go through it while at home, on an airplane or at your desired destination.

How to find the perfect place?

When you think of becoming a digital nomad, you probably imagine sand beaches and all those perfect Instagram photos of people enjoying the beach while working. This is mostly just for show, however, the reality is not that much different. The beach is probably not the best solution, as the sand will get in your laptop and you cannot leave it on the beach while you go for a swim as someone might take it.

The best solution is to find a room with great internet connection so you can work from home and after you are done go enjoy the beach. Another great option is to find a coworking space and rent it for a month or a week. These places have amazing internet connection and a lot digital nomads that are just like you. You can even make some friends and maybe continue your journey with them. Coworker is a website where you can explore over 5000 co-working spaces all over the world and read the reviews of people who have already used the space.

If you are flexible about your destination, a website Nomad List is perfect for you, as it will list the best cities to live in and work remotely from as a digital nomad. It will list the cost of living, internet speed, weather and other metrics.
